Corporate Responsibility Report

The report describes Millicom's 2013 shift toward digital lifestyle services while embedding corporate responsibility around corporate behaviour and community impact. It reports 11,321 employees, 53 average training hours per employee, and 33% women in the workforce. Environmental performance includes 581,071 MWh total energy, 56,267 tonnes Scope 1, 92,130 tonnes Scope 2 and 58,580 tonnes Scope 3 emissions, alongside a target to cut base-station CO2 emissions by 50% by 2020. Community highlights include more than 100,000 children registered through Tigo Tanzania and UNICEF's mobile birth-registration pilot.
