Overview

The report presents MUFG's FY2022 sustainability initiatives, including cumulative sustainable finance execution of ¥24.5 trillion and groupwide Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions of 189,000 tCO2. It reports the first calculation of Scope 3 Categories 1-14 emissions for six major Japanese Group companies, at 1.3million tCO2e. The report also details the transition toward net-zero GHG emissions from own operations by 2030 and from the financed portfolio by 2050, supported by TCFD-aligned governance and sector targets.
