Social And Environmental Progress Report

Overview

The report presents MUFG's FY2024 approach to ten priority social and environmental issues through case studies, KPIs, impact indicators, and logic models. It describes a net-zero commitment for the finance portfolio by 2050 and for own operations by 2030. It also describes group-level human-rights due diligence based on the Human Rights Policy Statement, Environmental and Social Policy Framework, and Equator Principles. Selected impact indicators include 177MtCO2e of client Scope 1 and 2 emissions in the financed portfolio and 46.83 million tons reduced through renewable-energy project finance from FY2019 to FY2023.
