Overview

The report is MMG's first sustainability report, covering 17 June to 31 December 2009. It reports total energy use of 3,205,533 gigajoules and total greenhouse gas emissions of 379,760 tonnes CO2e, comprising 123,718 tonnes Scope 1 and 256,025 tonnes Scope 2. The company records a total workforce of 6,108 and invested $A3,499,364 in local communities. It also reports 108 total recordable injuries for calendar year 2009 and describes extensive environmental management, stakeholder engagement and safety initiatives.
