Overview

The report presents Monash University's 2023 ESG progress across nine priority areas and adds its first institutional climate risk disclosure. It reports 800,608 GJ of total energy use, a 34 per cent renewable energy share of total energy use, and 310,882 tCO2-e/yr of market-based emissions before 415 offsets. Scope 3 reporting expanded to eight categories, totaling 264,680 tCO2-e/yr. Social highlights include 77 per cent of Gender Equality Action Plan actions completed or ongoing and 131 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples employed.
