Overview

The report presents Mpact's 2013 sustainability approach and performance across social, community and environmental topics. It reports 3,998 employees and eight lost time injuries, alongside a work-related fatality disclosure. Environmental highlights include 5,639TJ of energy use, 381,899 tonnes of Scope 1 CO2 emissions, 413,977 tonnes of Scope 2 CO2 emissions and 5,316 Ml of water use. Social and economic development spend was R5.6 million, supported by extensive education, health, recycling and community initiatives.
