Overview

The report presents MTR's 2019 sustainability performance across safety, climate, environmental protection, human capital, procurement and community investment. It reports 1,388,810 tonnes CO2e of Hong Kong total GHG emissions, including 46,134 tonnes CO2e Scope 1 and 10,165 tonnes CO2e Scope 3. MTR reports 50,000+ dedicated staff globally and 25% women on the Board, alongside zero staff and contractor fatalities in Hong Kong. The report also describes board-level responsibility oversight and independent limited assurance by Ernst & Young.
