Sustainability Report

The report describes MTR's 2023 sustainability performance across social inclusion, employee development, climate action and nature conservation. The company had more than 54,000 staff globally and received SBTi approval for 2030 GHG reduction targets covering railway and property activities. It also expanded Scope 3 reporting and reported biodiversity work at the Lok Ma Chau wetland, where over 280 bird species were observed. Board-level sustainability oversight and a double materiality assessment support the report's governance framework.
