Corporate Responsibility Report

The report covers Munich Re's 2019 corporate responsibility performance, including Group-wide climate, energy, water, waste, employee and societal activities. It reports 360,897 MWh of total Scope 1 and 2 energy consumption and 90% electricity from renewable sources, alongside a 44% carbon reduction from the 2009 baseline and carbon neutrality in operational activities since 2015. The report also describes a 2050 GHG-neutral investment-portfolio commitment and includes an independent limited assurance report over marked disclosures.
