Overview

The report describes Munich Re's 2022 sustainability performance across climate, people, governance and social impact. The Group made all recognised unavoidable operational GHG emissions GHG neutral and brought its Munich headquarters to GHG net zero, while targeting net zero for own operations by 2030. It reported 41,389 employees and 90% of purchased electricity from renewable sources. Social spending increased to €13.5m, supported by Group-wide employee engagement and community initiatives.
