Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report covers NALCO's FY 2012-13 sustainability performance across its principal operating units and excludes joint ventures from the reporting boundary. It reports major environmental data including direct emissions, renewable-energy initiatives, water withdrawal and waste management. Social disclosures cover CSR investment, community programmes, employee safety and a workforce of 7,555 regular employees. The report also reproduces an independent DNV assurance statement against GRI G3.1 and AA1000AS 2008.
