The report is NBK-Egypt's second sustainability report and covers its 2024 ESG strategy, performance, and practices. It explicitly adopts double materiality and expanded its material topics from 13 to 14. The Bank reported 3,995.57 tCO2e of GHG emissions, including 999.19 tCO2e of Scope 1 and 2,996.39 tCO2e of Scope 2 emissions, while total energy consumption was 39,613.82 GJ. It also reported a workforce of 2,049 employees, 75,128 training hours, sustainable finance projects, and strengthened Board Sustainability Committee oversight.
