Annual Report

The report records Group profit before taxation of Rs. 1,381 mn, up 34%, and profit after taxation of Rs. 686 mn, up 16%, in 2009. Deposits from customers grew 30% to Rs. 44,222 mn, while Group assets reached Rs. 70,504 mn. The Bank continued expanding access, including opening its Vavuniya branch, and reported a five-year increase of 12 branches. Its CSR work included biodiversity conservation and community education initiatives.
