The report records a 9.1% increase in profit before tax to £551.4m and total revenue of £3,453.7m. The company reduced UK and Eire electricity consumption by 4% while increasing store trading space by over 5%. It also reduced general waste by 25% and developed solutions to recycle 76% of its remaining waste. A Corporate Responsibility forum of senior managers and directors developed and implemented the company's CR strategy.
