Overview

The report is NHPC's inaugural standalone Sustainability Report for FY 2021-22, covering 22 power-generating stations, two under-construction hydropower projects, five regional offices, and the Corporate Office while excluding subsidiaries and joint ventures. It highlights 5,092 permanent employees, 1,00,199 MWh of total energy consumption, a 26% renewable-energy share, and Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions of 4,331 and 45,857 MTCO2e. The report also details CSR, biodiversity, water, waste, workplace safety, and governance initiatives.
