ESG Report

The report presents Nippon Life's ESG investment and finance as a core element of Sustainability Management, covering integration, engagement, ESG-themed investment and negative screening. It reports ¥1,114.4 billion of ESG-themed investment and finance as of June 30, 2021, against a ¥1,500 billion FY2017-FY2023 target. It also describes a 2050 net-zero goal covering business activities and the asset management portfolio, and participation in the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance. Governance is structured through the Sustainability Management Promotion Committee, Management Committee and Board of Directors.
