The report shows the company reduced Scope 1 emissions by 72% from its 2005 baseline and is targeting a 90% reduction by 2030 and net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040. It reports 7,411 active employees at December 31, 2023. NiSource also completed biodiversity management plans for all 26 identified protected areas and key biodiversity areas by 2023. Its 2023 environmental and social disclosures were independently verified by Trinity Consultants under limited assurance.
