Overview

The report presents the Nisshin Seifun Group's environmental management system and group-wide ISO 14001 certification, covering production plants, silos, research labs and offices. For the April 2009-March 2010 reporting period, total energy use was 3,947 TJ and water consumption was 3,393,000 m3. The group reports 182,000 t of CO2 emissions and says it achieved an 8.8% reduction from FY1990 one year early. Waste initiatives reduced final disposal waste to 780 tons, 98.6% below FY1990.
