Overview

The report describes Nomura's first CSR report organized around materiality and three priorities: client-focused operations, diversity, and creating a prosperous society. It highlights integration of parts of Lehman Brothers' operations, which expanded Nomura's global research and workforce. Community impact included 10 financial-literacy classes reaching more than 650 students in fiscal 2008. Environmental disclosures report a 21.6% reduction in Nihonbashi head-office electricity from fiscal 2002 levels.
