Overview

The report describes Northam's 2023 sustainability performance across a rapidly growing workforce, safety, climate and water stewardship. It reports 22 368 permanent and contractor workers and three fatalities at Zondereinde. Group scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions were 1 545 005 tonnes CO2e, while the roadmap targets a 27% GHG reduction and a 60% carbon-intensity improvement by 2030 against a 2019 baseline. Total group water use was 37 055 '000 m3, with 86% recycled.
