The report presents NLMK Group's 2011 social responsibility performance across business growth, employment and environmental management. It records production of 12 million tonnes of steel and a 40% increase in earnings. The Group employed 51.9 thousand people and reported water consumption of 73.7 million cubic meters. Waste generation amounted to 62.6 million tonnes, while the report also documents extensive CSR, environmental and employee programmes.
