Sustainability Report

Overview

The report covers ONGC's FY12 sustainability performance from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 across economic, environmental and social dimensions. It reports direct GHG emissions of 9.21 million tons CO2e, indirect emissions of 0.47 million tonnes CO2e and a 23,568 tons CO2e business-travel Scope 3 measurement. The report also presents 35,035 employees in its dedicated headcount table, 30.26 Billion Litres of fresh-water consumption and three women among 13 board members. Sustainability oversight is assigned to a Board HSE & Sustainable Development Committee, and the report reproduces DNV's AA1000AS assurance statement.
