Environmental Report

Overview

The report describes ORIX Group's first group-wide environmental policy, ECORIX 2012, aimed at supporting low-carbon operations and reducing the Group's own emissions. It discloses fiscal 2008 carbon data for selected operations totaling 441,000 t-CO2 and sets a 10% reduction target against fiscal 2008 by 2012. It also highlights ORIX's environmental businesses, including ESCO and renewable-energy projects, carbon offsets, recycling, waste processing and environmental management support.
