Overview

The report presents Outokumpu's first sustainability statement prepared under ESRS for 2024 and based on a double materiality assessment. It reports 3,702,456 tCO2eq of total market-based GHG emissions, including 990,643 tCO2eq Scope 1, 364,704 tCO2eq market-based Scope 2 and 2,347,109 tCO2eq Scope 3. The company reports 8,736 employees, 6,848,136 MWh of energy consumption and 6,289,440 m3 of water consumption. Its key climate target is a 42% reduction in emission intensity across Scopes 1-3 by 2030 from a 2016 baseline, alongside carbon neutrality by 2050.
