Overview

The report presents Ovintiv's ESG approach around environmental stewardship, workforce safety, community engagement and Board-level oversight. For 2020, it reports gross Scope 1 emissions of 4,607,622 Metric tons CO2e, gross Scope 2 emissions of 453,332 Metric tons CO2e, 1,918 total staff and zero employee and contractor fatalities. It also highlights a company-wide target to reduce Scope 1&2 GHG emission intensity by 50% by 2030 from 2019 levels, alongside TCFD-aligned reporting and an annual ESG materiality assessment.
