Our Business and Society Report

The report reviews Pearson's 2006 social and environmental activities, highlighting an improvement in the Business in The Community Corporate Responsibility Index from 57th to 24th. It describes applying UN Global Compact labour and human-rights guidelines to Pearson's own business. Environmental priorities included a company-wide 10% reduction target for electricity and gas use by the end of 2008.
