Our Impact on Society

The report reviews Pearson's 2008 four-part social responsibility strategy and progress across sustainable business practice, people, fairness and quality, and active citizenship. It reports an average workforce of 33,680, 102 international assignments, £7.7m in cash charitable giving, and Booktime reaching 750,000 children. It also describes progress toward completing Pearson's global climate-neutral process by the end of 2009.
