Our Impact on Society

The report describes Pearson's achievement of climate neutrality by the end of 2009 and its maintenance through 2010, alongside an absolute climate footprint of 193,141 metric tonnes CO2e. It highlights £13.1m invested in local communities during 2010 and a global network of 40 green teams involving over 300 people. The report also presents responsible-business activity spanning literacy, learning outcomes, competitiveness, environmental management, supply-chain standards, people, customers and communities.
