Overview

The report describes Pearson's 2012 impact priorities across literacy, learning outcomes and competitiveness, alongside responsible-business activity. It reports climate neutrality, global Carbon Trust Standard accreditation and 2012 greenhouse-gas emissions of 194,756 tonnes CO2e. It establishes 2012 as the baseline for people data in the US and UK and reports total energy consumption of 284,800 MWh/year and water consumption of 678,256 m3/year. It also reports GBP11.4m in worldwide charitable giving.
