Report overview

The report presents PPC's 2011 financial and non-financial performance across southern Africa, with detailed sustainability coverage on people, communities, energy, carbon, water and environmental management. Deloitte & Touche provided limited assurance over selected indicators and the GRI G3.1 application level. PPC approved a group energy policy with targets for improved electrical and thermal efficiency and a further 5% carbon-footprint reduction by 2017. The report also records one workplace fatality and restates prior-year municipal water consumption because of a calculation error.
