Sustainability Report (Executive Summary)

Overview

The report describes PPG's 2017 sustainability performance, including zero fatalities, a 6.5 percent decrease in injury and illness rate, and 32 percent of sales from sustainable-advantaged products. It reports 1.17 million metric tons of GHG emissions, a 25 percent reduction in GHG emissions intensity, 18.6 million cubic meters of water used, and 169,382 metric tons of waste disposed. PPG also reports more than $10.5 million in global giving and sets 2025 goals covering waste, GHGs, energy, renewable energy, water, safety and wellness.
