Environmental Sustainability Performance Report

The report describes Primark's 2020 environmental sustainability programme, including commitments to eliminate single-use plastics, increase recycled materials, and improve cotton-farmer livelihoods. It reports recovery, reuse, or recycling of 45,022 tonnes of cardboard, 5,363 tonnes of plastics, and 3,117 tonnes of hangers in FY2019/20, with 96% of direct-operations waste diverted from landfill. It also highlights packaging optimisation, lower-emission transport, and supplier-factory projects that saved 3,330 tce of energy and 275,524 m3 of water annually.
