Environmental, Social and Governance Report

The report presents Prudential's 2017 Group-level ESG performance across business integrity, responsible investment, environmental management, people and communities. It reports 129,335 MWh of global energy use, a combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions figure of 70,723 t CO2e, and a 60 per cent waste recycling rate. The workforce table gives 24,711 full-time equivalent personnel, while no fatalities were recorded. Community investment reached £25 million, alongside 96,493 hours of employee volunteering.
