The report presents BUMI's 2018 revenue rebound and economic contributions, including USD 1.1 billion in revenue and significant tax and community investment. It describes the launch of human-rights policies and procedures aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, alongside supplier screening that incorporated human-rights criteria. Environmental management, occupational health and safety, community development, and human-rights management were included in an independent assurance engagement.
