Sustainable Healthcare Strategy

Overview

The report sets out the Trust's sustainability strategy across energy, water, waste, transport, procurement, biodiversity and clinical pathways. It reports over 217,400 Mwh of annual gas and electricity use, around 690 million litres of annual water use, and over 6,200 tonnes of annual waste. It also records an 11.8% reduction in energy consumption and a 15% reduction in carbon footprint between 2007/2008 and 2017/2018, alongside solar panels at 19 UHB locations. Governance assigns senior leadership and implementation oversight to the Board.
