Environmental Report

Overview

The report covers the Group's 46 operational manufacturing facilities and five R&D centres for 2003, together with product transportation data. It reports lower energy, greenhouse gas and total waste impacts per production unit, while overall water use increased with liquid detergent production. Some 2000-2002 environmental data were restated after updated conversion factors and corrected production data. PricewaterhouseCoopers provided reasonable assurance over selected energy-use and related GHG emissions data.
