Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report describes Remgro's sustainability governance, social investment and environmental management across its subsidiaries. The Board is ultimately accountable for sustainability, with general oversight delegated to the Audit and Risk Committee assisted by the Social and Ethics Committee. For 2014, group environmental indicators include 474,796 tCO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 499,120 tCO2e of Scope 2 emissions and 52,315 tCO2e of Scope 3 emissions. Remgro also reports R23 million in corporate social investment spending and continued participation in CDP.
