The report describes progress against new five-year corporate responsibility objectives to 2020, reporting an 84% recycling and recovery rate and a 13% reduction in the reportable accident rate. Its emissions inventory reports 658 ('000 tonnes) of emissions from significant sources and 1,709 ('000 tonnes) of potential avoided emissions. The report says the prior-year avoided-emissions figure was restated to establish an appropriate baseline after adding energy from waste used on site.
