Overview

The report's Sustainability section describes Rieter's group-wide environment and safety mission statement, eco-efficient products, recycling, energy efficiency, risk management and employee development. In 2006, total waste was reported at 119,000 t, or 9.5 t/employee, and five additional Automotive Systems locations obtained ISO 14001 certification. The report also highlights a Changzhou air-conditioning system that reduced related energy consumption by some 50%.
