Report overview

The report says Rieter implemented its SEED environmental-data platform at almost all sites in 2008 and completed ISO 14001 certification at 80% of Automotive Systems' manufacturing sites. It highlights a new powder-coating line that reduced wastewater and energy use, and recyclable Rieter Ultra Silent vehicle modules intended to contribute to lower CO2 emissions. The report also notes participation in the Carbon Disclosure Project survey and community initiatives including drinking-water access in India and the refurbishment of Winterthur's small power plants.
