Annual Report

The report presents Rio Tinto's 2019 performance as fatality-free across managed operations, alongside continued focus on safety controls and assurance. It sets new 2030 goals to reduce absolute emissions by 15% and emissions intensity by 30% from a 2018 baseline, and establishes an ambition to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Sustainability oversight is assigned to the Board and its Sustainability Committee, with PwC providing limited assurance over selected sustainability data.
