Stewardship Report

Overview

The report describes Royal Caribbean's 2010 stewardship efforts across environmental, safety, security and medical/public health programs. It reports a 4,327,349 metric ton GHG footprint, a 4.7-percent reduction in fuel consumption per APCD, and recycling and reuse of more than 20.7 million pounds of materials. It also highlights 22 ships equipped with Advanced Wastewater Purification systems, a new shipboard blood-transfusion capability, and extensive Haiti earthquake relief. ESG oversight is assigned to a Board of Directors subcommittee and a Corporate Sustainability Council.
