Overview

The report describes Royal Caribbean's 2017 sustainability performance across conservation, operations, community, workforce and climate change. It highlights a commitment to reduce GHG emissions by 35% by 2020, 75% of waste landed from ships avoiding landfill, and 4,234,770 metric tonnes CO2e of GHG emissions. It also reports 65,682 employees and initiatives spanning sustainable seafood, destination stewardship, health and safety, and disaster relief. DNV GL independently verified 2017 Scope 1 and 2 emissions under limited assurance.
