Our Responsibility Report

Overview

The report describes RWE's group-wide corporate responsibility performance for fiscal 2008 and 2009, including the integration of Essent and the expansion of renewable generation. It reports 152.1 million metric tonnes of Scope 1 emissions and 138.5 million tonnes of Scope 3 emissions for 2009, alongside programmes to reduce the carbon intensity of generation. Workplace safety remained a major issue, with 17 fatalities reported across employees and subcontractors during the review period. The report reproduces an independent PricewaterhouseCoopers assurance report against AA1000AS and ISAE 3000.
