The report describes Safran's group-wide HSE policy and governance, with the Sustainable Development Department overseeing HSE and the Management Committee validating multi-year objectives. In 2009, Safran measured its carbon footprint across 65 key facilities and reported environmental data covering 80% of employees. It also reported 59 ISO 14001-certified facilities and 10 OHSAS 18001-certified facilities. The report sets three-year goals from a 2008 baseline, including a 15% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, alongside lower energy use, waste generation and landfill disposal.
