Overview

The report presents a strong 2016 for Sampo Group, with profit before taxes of EUR 1,871 million and total comprehensive income of EUR 1,760 million. It reports 6,780 average FTE staff and a Group solvency ratio of 154.3 per cent. Corporate responsibility work focused on developing the Group organization, defining report content and identifying relevant themes, with the first Group Corporate Responsibility Report planned for 2018. At If P&C, direct and indirect carbon dioxide emissions from Nordic operations were 8,389 tons, and the company stated that it purchased 100 per cent of its electricity from renewable sources.
