Overview

The report presents Sanlam's 2014 sustainability performance through five Sustainability Management Framework pillars covering governance, people, responsible products, society and environmental impact. It highlights transformation progress, including a verified level 2 BBBEE status and R15,9 billion in empowerment finance and targeted investments. Environmental disclosures report a total carbon footprint of 53 092 tonnes CO2e and total water usage of 77 270 kL across six buildings. An independent limited assurance report covers water usage and Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions.
