Overview

The report describes Sanlam's 2024 sustainability performance across a group-wide boundary spanning subsidiaries, associated companies and controlled joint ventures. It highlights a double-materiality process that consolidated 21 material matters into seven themes, formal oversight by the Social, Ethics and Sustainability Committee, and a global workforce of 125 163 people. Environmental disclosures report a total carbon footprint of 55 974 tCO2e, Scope 1 emissions of 1 880,20 tCO2e and total energy consumption of 45 049 MWh. The report also includes TCFD and GRI indexes and extensive SDG, UNGC, social-impact and employee disclosures.
