Sustainability Report

The report covers Sasol's global sustainability performance for the year ended 30 June 2019, highlighting 31,429 employees and three Group fatalities alongside safety improvement programmes. It reports 66,558 kilotons of total GHG emissions, 402,641 thousand GJ of total energy use, 134,260 thousand cubic metres of total water use and 565 kilotons of total waste. Sasol set a 5% Group potable-water reduction target to 2020 and maintained a 30% energy-efficiency objective for 2030. Sustainability oversight sits with the Board's Safety, Social and Ethics Committee, while selected sustainability information received reasonable and limited external assurance.
