Overview

The report presents Sasol's 2022 sustainability performance across people, planet, targets and assurance. It reports 28,630 employees and five work-related fatalities, alongside total GHG emissions of 63.6 million tons CO2e. Sasol is pursuing a 30% GHG reduction by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050, while introducing renewable electricity and steam procurement. Group water use was 132,686 thousand m3 and total waste was 478 kilotons, with 169,965 thousand m3 of water recycled. Deloitte & Touche and Tholisive provided reasonable and limited assurance over selected sustainability indicators.
